COCHRAN MILLS NATURE CENTER

Cochran Mill Nature Center is located just 20 minutes south of Atlanta in Palmetto, Georgia. The center's log structure is located by a pond on fifty privately-owned, heavily-wooded acres. Whether hiking, participating in an environmental education program or dropping by for a relaxing hike or day by the pond, Cochran Mill Nature Center has something for you. Visit us today!

Cochran Mill Nature Center is not only a wonderful place to hike with the family or have a picnic by our waterfalls it is also a place to learn about the natural world around us. We provide environmental fieldtrips to schools as well as scout groups, mom's groups or anyone else that may want one. We also offer wonderful spring and summer camp programs.

If you want to come out and tour the facility on your own that is fine too. Come and visit our cool critters. We have three beautiful owls, vultures and a hawk and that is just outside. Inside we have a huge reptile room filled with the most interesting animals. Have you ever wanted to see an anaconda up close? How about all 6 types of venemous snakes found in Georgia? We have that and so much more!

Last but not least, just one mile down the road there is a wonderful playground with more picnic areas!
